Dear Class of 2028:
I know you may be excited about transitioning from life at home to one on Wesleyan’s campus, but you may also a little hesitant about living in a community with new people. That is completely natural and understandable! You are not alone.
Campus housing is an integral part of the residential liberal arts college experience. Living in a dynamic community like Wesleyan’s and learning from your peers in a residential environment will enhance your educational experience in profound ways. The Office of Residential Life and our student and full-time administrative residential staff are here to support you.
Housing Preference Form
Alongside affinity housing, we have first-year housing in the Nicolson, Butterfields, Bennet, and Clark residence halls, all of which share kitchens and common rooms, and become close communities throughout the year. If you need accessibility services, Wesleyan provides accommodation to make resources more accessible. Please reach out to our staff if you have any questions.
- Submit your housing preference form by using the link in the online orientation app in WesPortal by June 27 to inform Residential Life of your first-year housing preferences.
- Submit your disability notification and accommodation request form by June 27 to request accessibility services and explore potential accommodations.
On Campus Employment
If you plan on working on campus, you must fill out certain tax forms and provide supplementary documentation throughWesPortal by September 5. Contact the Payroll Office through WesPortal for assistance.
To help you plan for the transition to college, we’ve compiled some student academic resources on our website. Remember: pace yourself: college can be challenging, but the bulk of the challenges should invigorate you, not drain you. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Dean Bisese
