While there were some technical issues with posting the First Year Reading, it should all be straightened out now. To get to the book, please logon to your WesPortal account using your Wes email address. Make sure you browser (Chrome or Edge is suggested) is not signed in with any other email address. Go to your Moodle account, and there you should see something that says First Year Reading or Braiding Sweetgrass itself. You can access it there, and there should be no charge for it.
What’s next?
As we move through the next couple of days, you should be completing your pre-registration (planning) activities. Please be sure to read the emails sent by the Registrar which explains the system. Those emails also provided a video and handbook/presentation about the system. It’s important you check there first with questions you might about. Preregistration will end on Thursday, July 25 at 4:00 p.m.
Once pre-registration has ended, the Registrar will assign classes. After the system has run, a window will open for you to make some immediate changes to your schedule. It will also be a time you can make POI request. Please be sure to check your emails from the Registrar’s Office about dates and deadlines.
For now, keep reading Braiding Sweetgrass, and try to get it done in the next couple of weeks. By. August 16, we’ll ask that you complete the responses to the reading.
