Dear Students,
As you gear up for advising, we want to make sure that you know how our registration system works. As you did this summer, you’ll use Stellic to manage your enrollment. Here are the steps that are coming next as you complete your academic schedule for the Fall semester:
1. Check for Holds First
When you log into Stellic, you’ll see at the top of the page whether you have any onboarding holds on your account. Review these carefully and address them early — some holds may prevent you from participating in Direct Registration and ultimately Add/Drop if not resolved in time. Go to Workday to remedy these holds.
2. Get Ready for Direct Registration (Friday, 9/4, 8am–10am)
On Thursday, 9/3, you’ll meet with your academic advisor to talk about courses for the Fall semester; that day you should also check out the Academic Forum in the big tent on Andrus Field from 11am–12:30pm. After meeting with your advisor and attending the Academic Forum, follow our guide to finalize the courses you’d like to select for Direct Registration. (This step used to be called “Adjustment,” and you may still hear it called by that old name). On Friday morning, 9/4, from 8am–10am, you can make changes to the courses that you have been scheduled in. You can add and drop courses until you’re happy with the schedule.
3. Participate in Add/Drop: (9/7–9/18)
If you still aren’t sure about your academic schedule, don’t worry, there’s still time to make changes. That’s what the two weeks of Add/Drop are for! During Add/Drop, admission to all classes requires instructor consent. You’ll submit your enrollment requests following the procedure outlined in our guide.
Getting a faculty member’s approval is NOT the last step. Once your request is accepted, YOU must still move the course from your plan into your registration cart and officially register. You are not enrolled until your plan shows the status REGISTERED — not PRE-REGISTERED, and not just “Ready.” Double-check this status for every course.
We know switching systems can be an adjustment, and it’s normal if it takes a moment to get comfortable with the new process. We’re here to help — if you have questions, contact stellic@wesleyan.edu.
Best,
The Registrar’s Office
