NOTE: ON July 8 (this is an updated and correct date), Phase 2 of the Academic Planning Map will open. That information will help you with questions you may have once the first step of pre-registration opens.
Dear Student,
We look forward to you joining us on campus this fall!
Fall 2024 course registration begins on Monday, July 8 at 9:00 a.m. This is your first opportunity to select courses for the Fall 2024 semester. You’ll be able to access the pre-registration system via your WesPortal, as soon as the system opens. Detailed information is available on the Registrar’s website. Great resources are the New Student User Guide to Pre-Registration, which includes step-by-step instructions with screenshots, and a Video Guide to Pre-Registration Planning.
TIMELINE (all times are ET):
PRE-REGISTRATION PLANNING
9 a.m. Monday, July 8 — 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 25
Rank courses of interest before the deadline.
Planning is not time sensitive; there is no advantage to creating your plan on July 8 vs. July 25, just be sure to have your plan in place before the system closes.
Your course rankings will save automatically as you enter them.
PRE-REGISTRATION SCHEDULING
The morning of July 26, we’ll run the scheduling process. Once it’s complete, we’ll notify you via email, and you’ll be able to see your schedule and start time for adjustment.
PRE-REGISTRATION ADJUSTMENT PREPARATION
By 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 26 through your Adjustment start time .
Review your schedule and prepare for your adjustment time.
PRE-REGISTRATION ADJUSTMENT
9:00 a.m. Monday, July 29 — 4:30 p.m., Thursday, August 1
There will be a staggered opening based on the number of courses students receive during scheduling; check your start date and time on your pre-reg page when adjustment preparation opens.
Once your adjustment time starts, you have access until the system closes.
You’ll be able to add eligible classes with available seats and drop classes (with caution!) as needed.

Continue to make schedule adjustments.
If you need academic advice, be sure to utilize all of the information available via your Academic Road Map in WesPortal. If you have questions about the course pre-registration system, feel free to contact us.
